Questions

The things trades ask first.

What must a UK invoice include?
The usual fields (trading name/address, customer, number, date, description, amount). If VAT registered there are extra fields. See VAT invoices: what they must include. QuoteCo lays out the sheet; we are not an accountant.
Do I need CIS on my invoice?
Only when subcontracting under the Construction Industry Scheme; labour vs materials, 20% or 30%. Confirm with contractor/accountant.
Does QuoteCo handle 20% UK VAT?
Yes. Switch VAT on and 20% is added to the subtotal and shown as its own line on the estimate or invoice. See VAT on quotes.
Do I need an account to make a quote?
No. Open the builder, type the job and print or save a PDF. Your work stays on your device. An account is only needed if you want your quotes synced across devices.
Does QuoteCo take a cut of what my client pays me?
No. QuoteCo never takes, holds or processes your client's money. You add your own bank details or pay link and the client pays you directly. The only thing we charge for is the optional Platinum subscription.
Can I send an invoice as well as an estimate?
Yes. Estimates and invoices are numbered separately, and an accepted estimate can be raised as an invoice in one press. See Estimate vs invoice.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. QuoteCo is built phone first, so you can price a job on site and send the A4 sheet before you leave the drive.
